Fluid Cartographies (Peter McLean, Nicci Haynes and John Pratt) was exhibited at Belconnen Arts Centre in 2021, followed by Traverse (Peter McLean and John Pratt) at Tuggeranong Arts Centre in 2023.  Selected works from these shows are presented here.  Maps and mapping featured heavilly in both shows, and indeed is a continuing thread in my practtice.  I continue to work with and on maps.  I use maps to draw and print onto, to collage with and as chine colle paper.  Maps are so rich in content, both literally and conceptually.  The older ones (pre-digital printing) are also bueatiful examples of well crafted but utilitarian printed material.
